MEDMASSAGE BIOPROTECTION MEASURES
Massage therapy helps to reduce stress, strengthening your body’s natural immune system functions, which is a natural method for improving overall health. Medical massage provides the exceptional and essential health benefits needed to mitigate the stressors brought on by daily events.
To create a safe environment, we’ve implemented the following additions:
MedMassage has maintained stringent sanitation protocol since 1999 (At the time, exceeded industry standards). We have expanded initiatives to again take the lead in providing a safe, healthy massage therapy experience for our patients and therapists.n pathogens
- BacStat Bioshield: A softener and protective coating applied to every product so bacteria can’t spread
- Plastic Barrier: Encases linens and garments in a plastic barrier for added safety
BODY.
Preventative measures now include touch-free forehead body temperature readings prior to each session, use of surgical masks (for both our staff and patients, based on availability), as well as the routine use of Alcare Plus Hand Sanitizer before and after hand-to-body contact.
ENVIRONMENT.
All MedMassage locations are equipped with Surgically Clean Air’s Purifier—a negative ion air purification system that uses multistage filtration and air purifying technologies to clean, purify and re-energize indoor air. The system captures dust particles, pollen, volatile organic chemicals (VOCs), mold, allergens, viruses, odors (like formaldehyde), bioaerosols, nitrous oxide, and other harmful pollutants.
Surgically Clean Air’s filter tested virus-sized particles from 0.1 to 0.2 microns* at low and medium speed settings:

SURFACES.
We exclusively use McKesson Medical Supply Pro-Tech Citrace Disinfectant Spray (a medical-grade disinfectant for bactericidal/virucidal sanitation) that kills microorganisms on both soft and hard surfaces.
LINENS.
We use ImageFIRST® Triple BioShield Protection® Sanitized Healthcare Laundry Services. Their infection protection process includes:
- Dead On Contact: An advanced wash process that sanitizes linens and garments, killing 99.999% of common pathogens
- BacStat Bioshield: A softener and protective coating applied to every product so bacteria can’t spread
- Plastic Barrier: Encases linens and garments in a plastic barrier for added safety
